Three Skeletonized Watches Showcasing Mechanical Function and Watchmaking Craftsmanship

Watch review: The year before last Hublot took its collaboration with Ferrari a step further, drawing inspiration from the Gran Turismo luxury touring model, which represents the philosophy of travel, and thus designing the Classic Fusion Ferrari GT. The watch pictured here has a case made of titanium covered with micro-bead-blasting and a diameter of 45 mm, and Hublot only uses high-quality grade 5 titanium with high hardness properties. The crown on the side of the watch has been designed to look like the center of a Ferrari wheel, and the top is decorated with the Ferrari Leaping Horse logo. The front of the watch is designed to look a lot like Ferrari's iconic gunmetal dashboard and air vents, while the dial is skeletonized for a mechanical feel, with a suspended skeleton design that enhances the appeal of the dial. The numerical markers on the dial are in the shape of Ferrari instrument numerals, with two sub-dials at 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock, and the 3 o'clock chronograph dial is shaped like a scaled-down Ferrari tachymeter, while the electronic display of the gears in the original tachymeter is presented as a date display on the dial, and the watch also features a Ferrari Leaping Horse logo underneath at the 12 o'clock position. Equipped with a UNICO 2 in-house movement, Hublot's second in-house caliber, number HUB1281, which beats at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, the timepiece has a 72-hour 3-day power reserve and is water-resistant to 100 meters for everyday wear. The watch also comes with a carefully crafted black rubber strap wrapped in Schedoni leather, the Italian fine leather company that supplies Ferrari interiors and seats, for a comfortable fit. The watch was released in a limited edition of 1,000 pieces the year before.

With a case made of black titanium treated with Diamond Like Carbon (DLC) and a diameter of 40 millimeters and a thickness of 5.37 millimeters, the watch remains true to its ultra-thin tradition. The dial is skeletonized to reveal the inner workings of the movement, all the bridges are black coated, and the skeletonized dial is a perfect complement to the watch's lightness and dynamism. The hour and minute hands in the center of the dial are exquisitely crafted to create a hovering effect, while the small seconds dial is located between 7 and 8 o'clock, and the power reserve indicator, also at 9 and 10 o'clock, is above it. The power reserve indicator is also positioned between 9 and 10 o'clock. The watch is equipped with an in-house self-winding skeletonized Finissimo BVL 128 SK caliber, which provides a 60-hour power reserve when fully wound. The watch is fitted with a black titanium bracelet, which ensures the comfort of this ultra-thin timepiece.
