Powering the Aria is the FX01, Formex's first proprietary movement, developed in collaboration with the independent Swiss brand Horage. Based on Horage's K2 micro-rotor calibre, the FX01 is exclusive to Formex in design and finishing. At just 2.9mm thick, the movement features a tungsten micro-rotor, a full-silicon regulating organ (including hairspring, escape wheel, and pallet fork), and operates at 25,200 vibrations per hour. It offers a power reserve exceeding 72 hours and is COSC-certified as a chronometer. The movement also incorporates a backlash-free geartrain pinion system to eliminate play when setting the hands.

The sapphire caseback reveals the movement's finishing, which includes black-gold galvanic treatment, vertically brushed bridges, laser-textured recesses, and hand-finished bevels. The tungsten micro-rotor is engraved with the Formex logo, and the movement's design is both technically and aesthetically impressive.

The Formex Aria Manufacture Chronometer launches as a Founders Edition limited to 100 individually numbered pieces. Pre-orders open in May 2026, with deliveries starting in September 2026.
